In-Person Worship Has Resumed
We have returned to two Sunday worship services – 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. And for this first phase of our COVID-19 reopening for in-person worship, masks are mandatory, and we are seated at a safe distance from one another in the sanctuary.
The two services have distinct styles again. We’re calling 9:30 our “Praise and Worship Service” and 11:00 our “Liturgical Worship Service” with 9:30 being led by our worship band, and featuring more modern praise music, while 11:00 features some hymns and more liturgy.
We continue to livestream the 9:30 worship service on YouTube each Sunday, so that we can engage those not ready to return to in-person worship and/or those who are a part of the KW family but not in our area.
The KirkWood Church is a Presbyterian (U.S.A.) congregation that was chartered in 1987. We are a part of the Presbytery of Eastern Virginia and we are located in historic Hampton Roads, near Yorktown, Poquoson, Hampton and Newport News. Our members are found to be active in all phases of community life. We like to worship, learn, work, and play together, loving God and enjoying his wonders and graces. All of our activities are open to all — seekers, skeptics, and devoted. Come grow with us.
